Why are more homes selling off market?

For years when a home sold without being listed in the MLS I felt it wasn’t in the sellers best interest. How can limiting exposure ever be good when selling something? Recently though I noticed what I call the “Open Door effect”. Open Door is a company that lost over a billion dollars offering homeowners a simple way to sell their home without showing it. Open Door doesn’t do that anymore but the impact was sellers are still willing to maybe give up some money for the convenience of an easier selling experience and I’ve changed my answer when they ask me about it.
